The new Engage Intranet at BES has quickly become the go-to place for all employees, for searching for documents or contacts, sharing news, accessing other business systems or communicating social events.
BES are making great use of Quicklinks within the intranet. They are using internal Quicklinks to access useful information such as holiday requests, expenses requests, timesheets and organisational charts. They also use Quicklinks for external links to various sites, applications and portals.
Mobile access is a huge benefit for BES. Employees working at remote sites were previously having to wait for PC access before being able to retrieve the information they needed. They were often late to receive company news and out of touch with updates from head office employees.
Important construction project and design project updates are now easy to share across the company in an informative and visually engaging way.
Social and charity events are now also shared on the intranet which is great as more employees are getting involved; employee engagement has certainly been improved since the launch of Engage.
The Environmental, Health and Safety page on the intranet is a one-stop-shop for all employees to ensure the business is meeting all the current legislation and requirements. Documents and policies in this area are updated frequently so to have them all in one place has saved lots of time for BES.

The Engage intranet is well used and liked by all at BES. It is styled in-line with corporate branding with a fresh and modern look, featuring clean lines and corporate colours. BES have created an engaging, user friendly, responsive site which can be accessed anywhere from any device.
It is a dynamic, well organised site which is used by everyone as a central location to store company information as well as a place for sharing news, up to date information and ideas.Improvements have been seen in productivity and efficiency. Employee engagement has been greatly enhanced.
